Dear Employer,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brent Morris. I have about 15 years experience doing Prepress work. I am currently living in Stuart, Florida but do not have a problem with relocating. I?ve been working with the latest versions of the Adobe suite of programs including Pitstop for Acrobat and QuarkExpress. I?m experienced with Flightcheck, Preps, Upfront, Pagemaker and Freehand. I have worked with a variety of RIP systems, proofers and platesetters. The last few years I?ve been working with a PDF workflow using Creo?s Prinergy, Thank you for your consideration.

Outputting a PDF to process through a Prinergy workflow, sending soft proofs (emailing PDFs or through InSite) and hard proofs (Espsons and digital dyluxes). This was accomplished on MacIntosh computers, with Acrobat/Pitstop, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkExpress. When required, creatIing/editing impositions using Preps, editing impositions with Upfont, outputing Spectrum proofs, Epson proofs, trimmed/folded digital dyluxes, and making plates using a Trendsetter or Magnus autoloading plate maker with auto-processing. I also managed the software that controls these devices and performed emergency repairs when needed to ensure the job was completed. I was sent to the Hieldeber training center in Atlanta, GA for their Prinergy and Delta system training for administration and trapping and also to the CREO training center in Chicago, IL for their Prinergy operater and administation program.

Responsible for preparing and creating art shells/ads for newsprint. Preparing digital files for film output by, retrieving, manipulating and placing hi-resolution graphics for full-color film output. This was accomplished on MacIntosh computers using Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkExpress, Multi-ad Creator 5.5 and CCI Ad-Desk for pagination.
PREPRESS GRAPHICS

Responsible for preparing clients digital files for film output by, retrieving and placing
hi-resolution graphics, cutting silhouettes, creating vignettes, setting proper trapping, and four-color film output. This was accomplished on MacIntosh computers using Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkExpress, Pagemaker, Freehand and Delta Print Manger. In addition, I was responsible for the operation and maintenance of Linotype Hell 3030 and 3020 imagesetters.
ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER

Responsible for image retrieval, storage, scanning, manipulation, placement, and general
maintenance of a cross platform image library. Also, the operation and maintenance of an Optronics CS4000 imagesetter with an autoloader and Log E processor and the quality control of film output. Software used: Illustrator, Photoshop, Quarkexpress, Retrospect, FileMaker Pro, Freehand, Pagemaker and several custom utility programs.
